Stella Artois, the iconic European-style lager, has launched its highly anticipated Super Bowl LIX ad featuring global ambassador David Beckham alongside Hollywood star Matt Damon. The commercial, titled “David and Dave,” introduces a heartwarming and humorous twist on family dynamics as the two discover they are long-lost twin brothers. This marks the beginning of Stella Artois’ new year-long global campaign, “For Moments Worth More,” which aims to celebrate the meaningful everyday moments that become unforgettable with a Stella Artois in hand.
The ad opens with a charming British pub scene where Beckham’s parents reveal a family secret: David Beckham has a twin brother named “Dave,” played by none other than Matt Damon. The two brothers, united by this revelation, share a cold Stella Artois and bond over their similarities, differences, and mutual love for the brand. The quirky yet relatable storyline unfolds with humour, highlighting how moments of genuine connection—whether discovering a family secret or sharing a beer—are what truly make life special.

The commercial, which premiered during Super Bowl LIX, will kick off Stella Artois’ “For Moments Worth More” campaign, taking the brand’s messaging beyond just its taste and quality to focus on the connections made over a Stella. This platform builds on last year’s “A Taste Worth More” campaign, expanding the narrative to emphasise the importance of relationships and shared experiences.

Created and produced by Artists Equity, the production studio co-founded by Damon and Ben Affleck, “David and Dave” is set to be the cornerstone of Stella Artois’ marketing efforts for the coming year. The campaign will include multiple creative spots featuring the Beckham brothers, each exploring new facets of their ongoing bond, while reinforcing the theme of meaningful moments made even better with Stella Artois.
