The All England Lawn Tennis Club Appoints VCCP as Global Creative Agency for Wimbledon 2025

The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) has appointed VCCP as its global creative agency of record, entrusting the agency with the development of a new global advertising campaign for The Championships, Wimbledon 2025.

VCCP, known for its bold and innovative approach, will spearhead a campaign that aims to engage tennis fans across the globe, expanding Wimbledon’s reach while enhancing its presence in key markets. The campaign will not only focus on the event itself but will also establish a brand platform that resonates beyond the fortnight of Wimbledon, ensuring long-term impact for the iconic tournament.

As the oldest and most prestigious tennis event, Wimbledon is a true global spectacle. Broadcast in over 200 territories, the event generates more than two billion social media impressions during the tournament. With broadcast partnerships spanning regions from ESPN in North America and LATAM, Eurosport in Europe, Amazon Prime in Germany, and SuperSport in South Africa, Wimbledon reaches a vast, international audience. The creative campaign developed by VCCP will be syndicated across these networks, ensuring maximum visibility for the event.

Founded in 1877, Wimbledon began as a modest event with just 22 players and a handful of spectators. Since then, it has evolved into one of the world’s most beloved sporting events, attracting millions of viewers each year. As VCCP takes on the role of global creative agency, the challenge will be to amplify this rich heritage while connecting with new generations of fans.

The partnership highlights VCCP’s ability to blend the spirit of a challenger brand with global scale. Known for its creative brilliance and strategic insight, VCCP has successfully worked with major clients, including Google and Cadbury, creating high-impact campaigns that disrupt norms and leave lasting impressions.

Usama Al-Qassab, Marketing and Commercial Director at AELTC, expressed excitement about the partnership: “We are delighted to be working with VCCP as our creative agency of record to develop the global campaign for The Championships. Their ability to blend creativity with strategic thinking is exactly what we need to elevate Wimbledon to even greater heights.”

Michael Sugden, CEO at VCCP, echoed this enthusiasm: “This is an incredible opportunity to define a new creative narrative for one of the world’s most iconic sporting events. We are incredibly proud to take on this responsibility and excited to work on this campaign for 2025 and beyond.”

VCCP has already begun work on the campaign, which will debut ahead of Wimbledon this summer. With a focus on expanding the tournament’s global audience and connecting with fans across diverse markets, the campaign will be a key element of Wimbledon’s ongoing strategy to remain at the pinnacle of global sport.
