EE is set to electrify the nation once again with the return of its highly anticipated Game Day on Saturday, 7th September 2024. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better, transforming iconic locations like Brighton Pier and Wembley Stadium into the world’s largest playable arcade for 24 hours.
Building on the success of its debut in 2023, EE Game Day will offer gamers across the UK the chance to win thousands of prizes through a range of unique online and mixed reality gaming experiences. The event, fronted by popular Sidemen members Josh, Tobi, and Ethan, will culminate in a thrilling ‘Game Chest Hunt’ on EE’s Fortnite Island, with console prize bundles up for grabs.
EE has gamified the UK like never before, with experiences tailored for all types of gamers. Brighton Pier will host the ‘EE Gull Bop’ AR game, while Wembley Stadium will see players dribbling down a digital pitch in ‘EE Wembley Goal Run’ and racing through obstacles in ‘EE Cross Country Run.’ Meanwhile, TikTok users can test their reactions with the ‘EE Moonshot Mission’ and Fortnite enthusiasts can embark on a treasure hunt on EE’s custom-built island.
As part of this immersive experience, EE will also be raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s new world-leading Children’s Cancer Centre. Players will be challenged to scale a GOSH Charity building in Fortnite, collecting coins to unlock hidden Game Chests and support the hospital’s fundraising efforts.
Pete Jeavons, Group Brand and Consumer Marketing Director at EE, expressed his excitement about the event: “Following its successful debut in 2023, EE Game Day is back! This year we’ve stepped it up a notch by transforming the UK into the world’s largest gaming arcade for 24 hours only. There will be more immersive games, bigger prizes, and the chance for everyone to get involved, no matter the type of gamer they are.”
EE Game Day is more than just a one-day event. Gamers will continue to access exclusive deals and offers on the latest consoles, games, and accessories via the EE Game Store until 17th September, ensuring the excitement doesn’t end when the day is over.
With its ambitious goal to become the UK’s top gaming destination, EE Game Day 2024 is set to be an unforgettable experience for gamers across the country. Whether you’re playing on Brighton Pier, exploring Fortnite Island, or simply scanning a QR code on your commute, EE is bringing the excitement of gaming directly to you. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary event!
