A Tradition of Education through Play
The Early Learning Centre (ELC) is celebrating 50 years of impacting early childhood development via play this year, which is a major milestone. Since its founding in 1974, ELC has solidified its position as a leader in the toy sector by producing entertaining and instructive toys that encourage kids to discover and reach their full potential.
ELC has always sought to provide toys that are more than just amusement. Every product is a learning aid designed to support young brains and improve developing abilities. This idea has helped the brand grow from a little start-up to a well-known international organisation that is currently run by The Entertainer, a well-known toy shop in the UK.
Joyous Product Announcements
To celebrate its golden anniversary, ELC has introduced three limited-edition toys that perfectly capture the spirit of the company’s dedication to expansion and happiness. The Happyland Gold London Bus is a collector’s item among them. Limited to 3,150 numbered pieces, this toy pays homage to one of ELC’s most recognisable products.
In order to appeal to a younger audience, the Happyland Red London Bus has also been redesigned with gold accents and a bus stop to go along with it. These buses are a part of a bigger collection that strives to honour the long tradition of ELC’s goods and spark young people’s imaginations.
The ELC Birthday Bear, a cuddly toy with embroidered eyes and gold accents intended to soothe and pique the senses of young children, will be available for purchase starting next month. Available online and in shops, this cuddly friend seems like a sweet addition to any child’s toy collection.
Fifty Years of Innovation and Impact
The narrative of ELC’s journey is one of adaptability and vision. Established in the beginning by John Beale, the brand has had ownership changes and changes in the market. In 2007, Mothercare acquired the brand, and in 2019 The Entertainer did the same. ELC’s fundamental goal of promoting early learning via creative play has not altered despite these adjustments.
The Entertainer’s exclusive brand partner, Addo Play, co-founder and CEO Mary Price, considers this heritage, saying, “For fifty years, ELC has offered enriching experiences that have shaped countless generations of children.” We are thrilled to introduce new goods to celebrate this milestone, carrying on our heritage of creativity and superior design.
A Year of Festivities
In addition to introducing new goods, ELC holds several promotions and events all year long. The purpose of these events is to interact with consumers and commemorate the brand’s colourful past. Additionally, a unique advertising film showcasing the generational transformation potential of play has been made public.
ELC is steadfast in its dedication to producing toys that inspire, educate, and amuse as it looks ahead to the next fifty years. The Early Learning Centre is still a major force in the market for educational toys, having enriched the lives of young people in the past and having a bright future ahead of it.
